Trading Exchange

What is the trading exchange?

A cryptocurrency exchange or a digital currency exchange (DCE) is a business that allows customers to trade cryptocurrencies or digital currencies for other assets, such as conventional fiat money or other digital currencies. A cryptocurrency exchange can be a market maker that typically takes the bid-ask spreads as a transaction commission for traders or as a matching platform, simply charges fees.

Digital currency exchange can be a brick-and-mortar business or a strictly online business. As a brick-and-mortar business, it exchanges traditional payment methods and digital currencies. As an online business, it exchanges electronically transferred money and digital currencies. Often, digital currency exchanges operate outside Western countries to avoid regulation and prosecution. However, they do handle Western fiat currencies and maintain bank accounts in several countries to facilitate deposits in various national currencies. Exchanges may accept credit card payments, wire transfers or other forms of payment in exchange for digital currencies or cryptocurrencies.

The exchanges can send cryptocurrency to a user's cryptocurrency wallet. Some can convert digital currency balances into anonymous prepaid cards which can be used to withdraw funds from ATMs worldwide while other digital currencies are backed by real-world commodities such as gold.

ORC exchange

Orius Capital's exchange (ORCEX) is a cryptocurrency exchange which operates in a hybrid way, i.e., with central and decentral authority.

Centralised exchanges allow peer-to-peer trading of cryptocurrencies and reduce the risk of theft from the hacking of exchanges.

Our decentralised exchange can also prevent price manipulation or faked trading volume through wash trading and are more anonymous than exchanges which implement know your customer (KYC) requirements.

There are some signs that centralised and decentralised exchanges have been suffering from low trading volumes and market liquidity. The ORCEX project, a protocol for building hybrid exchanges with interchangeable liquidity attempts to solve this issue. ORCEX will remedy the lack of liquidity by pooling together leading centralised and decentralized exchanges and routing users' trades according to the best price.

In our strategy, Orius Capital will collaborate with the largest platforms (in terms of transaction volume) such as the Huobi, Binance, OKEX (top three cryptocurrency exchanges by Bloomberg News report)... and jointly create a hybrid market. To help traders buy, sell, store and convert digital currencies quickly and securely.
